Terms of Service

• fiveit is a free daily puzzle site. Play fair, be decent to other players, and do not scrape or automate it.
• Your username is public. Your scores, streaks, badges and league results can be shown with it on profiles, leaderboards and anything you choose to share.
• The puzzles and the site are ours. Your answers are yours.
• We can change the site or these terms, and we can close accounts that break them.

The full terms follow and are what applies.

fiveit.win (the "Site") is operated by Mark Bufanio, a sole proprietorship in Pennsylvania, United States (LLC pending), referred to as "we", "us" or "our". The Site offers five daily puzzle games: fiveit trivia, Pinpoint, Order Up, Thesaurus Rex and Tether, along with accounts, profiles, leagues, leaderboards, achievements and sharing features.

By using the Site, including the installable web app and any native app shell, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. By using the Site you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You can play without an account. An account (a username, an email address and a password) saves your history across devices and unlocks streaks, statistics, badges, trophies, leagues and the leaderboards.

• Usernames are public and appear wherever your results do. Keep them free of offensive language, impersonation and personal information. We may rename or remove a username that breaks this rule.
• You can change your username, email address and password in Settings. Changing your username updates your profile link.
• When you sign in on a device where you played without an account, the results stored on that device are added to your account.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Extra accounts, and accounts used to pad leagues or leaderboards, may be removed. Accounts we use for testing are excluded from the leaderboards.

The games are on the honor system and so are the leaderboards. You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts or other automation to play, submit answers or create accounts.
• Look up answers for the purpose of posting scores you did not earn.
• Use the answer override on trivia for anything other than a correct answer that was graded wrong (overrides are visible to your leagues and do not count toward perfect-game badges).
• Interfere with the Site, probe it for weaknesses, or scrape or bulk download its puzzles.
• Harass or abuse other players, including through league or username text.

We may remove scores, badges or trophies that were not fairly earned.

• Profiles are public pages at your username. They show your statistics, play calendar, badges, trophies and recent scores.
• Leaderboards rank signed-in players by username on points, perfect scores, games played, average score, streaks and badges, for the month and all time, and rank leagues by name along with their commissioner's username.
• Leagues are private groups joined by invite code or link. Members can see each other's usernames, daily trivia scores, override counts and standings. The player who creates a league (the commissioner) can rename it, remove members and hand the role to someone else. Your past scores join a league when you do, and your scores stay in a league's history if you leave.
• Trophies and badges are awarded automatically from your results. We may correct awards that were made in error.

• Share features build text and images from your own results, such as a score card, a day recap, a monthly wrap-up or a link to a single trivia question. What you post from them, and where, is up to you, and we are not responsible for how other services use it.
• A shared question link shows the recipient that question with no answer attached.
• Push notifications are optional. You turn them on from your device, and you can turn them off at any time in your browser or device settings.

The puzzles, questions, clues, word lists, artwork, badge art, software, design and names on the Site belong to Mark Bufanio and are protected by copyright and trademark law. © 2025-2026 Mark Bufanio. All rights reserved. You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy, republish, sell or build on its content without written permission, other than sharing your own results through the features we provide.

Your content is the text you submit as answers and the names and descriptions you give leagues. You keep ownership of it and give us permission to store it, grade it, show it where the Site shows results, and use wrong-answer text (without your name) to improve grading. We may edit or remove league names and descriptions that break these Terms.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". Puzzles are written by people and may contain errors, and grading is automatic and imperfect; we do not guarantee that every answer, ranking or clue is correct, that the Site will always be available, or that it will be free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing fiveit.win@gmail.com. We may suspend or close an account without notice if we believe these Terms have been broken. Leagues you created pass to another member or close.

fiveit is a small project that changes often. We may add, change or retire games and features at any time. We may update these Terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Pennsylvania.

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email a notice to Mark Bufanio at fiveit.win@gmail.com that includes:

• the copyrighted work you believe is infringed,
• the material you believe is infringing and where to find it on the Site,
• your contact information,
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized,
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and
• your physical or electronic signature.
